The Central & East Regional Commandant, Gp Capt Brett Morrell's after dinner address started off with an extremely lighthearted story about the fluctuations in Asian and European exchange rates. Gp Capt Morrell concluded by congratulating the Wing on its recent achievements and thanking all our volunteers for all the hard work and time they put into making the ACO such a success.
Following the speeches the guests withdrew to the bar as the Wing's comedy double act of Flight Lieutenant's Les Vile and Nathan Adams once again entertained the mess members with their very own hilarious style of witty banter and mockery of almost everybody on the Wing staff.
With all the formalities completed it was then time for everyone to mingle and catch up on news from colleagues they had not seen for a while and dance the night away.
The Mess President, Sqn Ldr Martin Harrison said, "This has been yet another successful dinner with excellent food and service. The cadets of 163 Squadron who acted as stewards were, as always a credit to the organisation and smartly turned out. It was good for us to be able to welcome our Regional Commandant, the Commanding Officer of HMS Forward and the Lord Mayor of Coventry , who is very supportive of youth organisations in the City of Coventry ".
