The Air Cadet Media Communications team from 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron scooped four First Place competition Awards during the Central & East Regional Field Day at Royal Air Force Halton.
Against stiff opposition from Squadrons from all six Wings within the Region, the Nuneaton based Squadron won the Regional Media Communications coverage competition. The Media coverage competition is based on the unit's participation in public events and media activity during the previous 12 month period.
121 Squadron's keen cadet photographers also pulled off an outstanding performance with their Past, Present and Future themed portfolio.
Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks and Cdt Cpl Evans also put the icing on 121 Squadrons Media Communications cake with two more first’s for the Wing by winning the Staff and Cadet sections of the Media Communications Presentation competition with their designs for magazine adverts.
Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks, Officer Commanding 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron said, “I am delighted that we have managed to win four sections of this year's Regional Media Communications competitions helping the Warwickshire & Birmingham wing to come first in the overall Regional Media Competition. Our performance in this competition is attributable to everyone on the Squadron, not just those who write the articles take the photographs and maintain the website. Successful PR is a good measure of the performance of an active Squadron which offers its cadets a wide range of activities and gets involved in local community events”.
