Cadets from 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron joined forces with different Squadrons which form the Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing as a single team to compete against five other wing teams at the Central and East Regional field day at Royal Air Force Halton.
Thanks to all the best efforts of everyone who represented the wing at this years Regional Training Day the Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing team came 4th in the Best overall Wing competition with first place being awarded to South & East Midlands Wing.
The Officer in Charge of Warwickshire and Birmingham Team Flt Lt Mandy Hobbins said, "The wing were placed 4th overall which is a great achievement meaning that we have avoided the wooden spoon for the past 2 years. Thank you to everyone in the team for your support and thanks to all the staff who supported, training and transport on the day".
Flt Lt Hobbins added, "Special congratulations should be given to the cadets who answered the call to support the Wing in the marching band competition. Given the short notice and against all the odds they managed to pull a display together at the very last moment. All the cadets that represented the Wing should congratulate themselves, as it is a great achievement to be part of the Wing team. Well done to you all".
