The Air Cadet Media Communications team from 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron scooped three First Place competition Awards during the Central & East Regional Field Day at Royal Air Force Wittering.
Against stiff opposition from Squadrons from all six Wings within the Region, the Nuneaton based Squadron won the Regional Media Communications coverage competition for the fourth year in succession. The Media coverage competition is based on the unit's participation in public events and media activity during the previous 12 month period.
121 Squadron's keen photographers also pulled off an outstanding performance with their CVQO themed portfolios with Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks winning the staff section and Cdt Atlanta Curless coming second in the Cadet section of the Photographic Competition.
Flight Lieutenant Nick Upton also put the icing on 121 Squadrons Media Communications cake with yet another first place by winning the Staff section of the Media Communications Presentation competition with his design for a range of Cadet Vocational Qualifications Organisation(CVQO) posters.
Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks, Officer Commanding 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron said, “I am delighted that we have managed to win three of this year's Regional Media Communications competitions. Our performance in this competition is attributable to everyone on the Squadron, not just those who write the articles take the photographs and maintain the website. Successful PR is a good measure of the performance of an active Squadron which offers its cadets a wide range of activities and gets involved in local community events”.
