London Marathon run in memory of mum

Jonny Hincks is tackling the London Marathon to raise money for a cause so close to his heart.

2nd March 2014, marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of his mother, Anita Hincks who regrettably lost her eight year battle against cancer at the age of 42.

Jonny Hinks pictured with his mum, Anita, who sadly passed away from cancer and who is his inspiration to take part in this year's London Marathon To commemorate his mother’s tenth anniversary Jonny Hincks will be taking part in the London Marathon on Sunday 13th April 2014, running to raise much needed funds to support Macmillan Cancer Support.

Jonny said: "I will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support who helped care for my mum and provided support for the rest of my family during her illness. Please support me and this fantastic charity by sponsoring me to run the London Marathon. It will be an extremely emotional day for me and your support for myself and Macmillan Cancer Support will mean the world to me."

Jonny is no stranger to gruelling fitness challenges, having completed many including the Yorkshire Three Peaks as well as Great Birmingham Run, but this year's event will be extra special as he pounds the streets of the capital to help those suffering from the cruel disease that sadly claimed his mother's life.

Good luck Jonny, we are so proud of you for remembering your Mum in this way and I am absolutely certain she will be with you every step of the way during the London Marathon, as will we all.
