Bramcote Barracks Open Day

On Sunday 4 th July the 30 th Signal Regiment and 258 Signal Squadron based at Gamecock Barracks, Bramcote, will open the doors and invite the public to join them for an action packed day of excitement. With loads of attractions and quite literally something for everyone!

There's plenty to see in the main Arena including performances from the White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team, The Pipes and Drums of the Royal Corps of Signals, The Air Cadets Band of 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron and the Annual Cadet Naval Field Gun Run. The Nuneaton Dog Club Demonstration Team, The Army Tug Of War Finals, a Strongman Competition,. In addition there will be loads of static military displays showing some of the equipment, vehicles, weapons and uniforms the soldiers use when they're deployed on operations.

If you're looking for a more active day then there will be loads to keep you occupied! If its thrills you're looking for then why not go for a helicopter ride? For those who would rather keep their feet firmly on the ground there will be flight simulators, 4 x 4 rides, clay pigeon shooting, paintball, air rifle range, Billy Bates Funfair and the ever popular ‘Village Fete'.

The Gamecock Barracks Open Day, which is held annually, aims to raise as much money as possible for charity. 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron will be running a balloon race so don't forget to buy your balloon and help them keep the Air in Air Cadets.

In previous years support from the local community has been amazing and tens of thousands of pounds have been raised for worthwhile causes including the Mayors Appeal and a number of deserving military charities.

There will be stacks to keep the kids occupied too! Walk on Water balls should tire the little ones out and if that doesn't work there are always Donkey Rides, Bouncy Castles , Laser Quest, Crazy Golf and Beat the Keeper,

Sounds like fun? Well come along and enjoy the day! Entrance fees are £3 for adults and £2 for children Everything starts at 11am but parking is available from 10am .
