On Sunday 22nd September, Nuneaton based Air Cadets and their Civilian Committee were packing bags at Dobbies Garden Centre in Atherstone in a bid to raise much needed funds for their Squadron.
The Bag Pack which had been organised thanks to Dobbies ‘Here We Grow' initiative which aims to support local community groups saw the green fingered Air Cadets and their Civilian Committee helping shoppers to pack their bags as they flew through the checkouts.
Officer Commanding 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron, Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks said, “I am delighted to say a massive thank you to Dobbies for helping us to raise much needed funds to help the Squadron to continue to support our young people. The Squadron's Cadets and Civilian Committee members who took part did an excellent job packing the bags and worked well with the Dobbies staff who were most friendly and helpful. We also received so many encouraging comments regarding the behaviour, turnout and helpfulness of the cadets from customers as they came through the checkouts”.
“On behalf of the whole Squadron I would take this opportunity to thank Dobbies for this wonderful bag packing opportunity and send a massive thank-you to the Dobbies customers for their outstanding generosity. The money raised will go a long way to enabling the Squadron to continue to provide activities for the Nuneaton based Air Cadets”.
