With Christmas and the season of good will rapidly approaching, it’s time to spare a moment and think of others less fortunate than ourselves. And with the help of the Air Cadet Band of 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron that’s what the children of Whitestone School decided to do when they sang Carols to raise money for Help for Heroes.
On Thursday 10 th December the Nuneaton based Air Cadet band provided the music for the pupils, parents and teachers of Whitestone Infants School, Magyar Crescent, Nuneaton, during their open-air concert as they filled the evening air with the melodic sound of traditional Christmas Carols.
Flt Lt Paul Hincks of 121 Squadron said, “We all tend to rush around at this time of year getting ready for the big day, unfortunately we all too often forget what Christmas is all about. But there’s something special about the sound of Carols and whatever your beliefs they always seem to fill everyone with the true spirit of Christmas. So it was quite nice to see so many people coming out to sing Carols for Heroes with the children of Whitestone School and giving generously to the collection”.
