Royal Air Force Air Cadets, Staff and Civilian Committee members from 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron were out on Sunday 10th May helping with water stations, and directing competitors at the Bosworth Half Marathon.
The Bosworth Half Marathon is a well established, event that attracts runners of all abilities from seasoned athletes to first timers. The venue, Market Bosworth Water Trust, provided a fantastic base for a great start to the rural course that took in some lovely Leicestershire scenery around the historic town of Mkt Bosworth.
The team of marshals from 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron were tasked with; directing competitors to the start, Manning two of the water stations and handing out T-shirts, medals and shed loads of Fyffes bananas to the competitors as they crossed the finishing line.
Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks, officer commanding 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron, said, “Everyone that turned out to help did a brilliant job and their efforts were praised by both the competitors and organises of the event”.
