On presenting Cadet Warrant Officer Robert Allan with his new rank slides and Certificate of appointment, Officer Commanding 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron, Flight Lieutenant Ian Crewe said, “It's been eight long years since a Nuneaton based cadet has been promoted to the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer and Robert's promotion is thoroughly deserved.”

“Robert received the St John Ambulance ‘Young First Aider of the Year' Award in recognition of his effective and prompt life saving first aid actions when he came to the assistance of a member of the public. He was appointed Warwickshire Lord Lieutenant's cadet during the 150th Anniversary year of the Cadet Forces, and was also specially selected to attend the Cadet 150 tri-service Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Residential Course at the Royal Naval College Dartmouth and more recently Robert became one of the first cadets to qualify for the Institute of Leadership and Management Award (ILM) in Team Leading.”

“On behalf of the whole Squadron I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Cadet Warrant Officer Robert Allan on his fully deserved promotion.”
