121 (Nuneaton) Squadron is currently looking for volunteers to join our Civilian Committee and we would urge parents of current cadets, former Cadets who may be interested in re-establishing a role within the Squadron, local business leaders and friends of the Squadron to join us.
Our Civilian Committee is a group of people who meet once a month for a couple of hours. The committee has no operational role in the training of the cadets; however as a Civilian Committee member you will play a vital role in the raising and control of Squadron funds and helping to organise Squadron social events. Our Civilian Committee is in fact very similar in nature to a school’s PTA.
The Civilian Committee meets to discuss and form subsequent actions around cadet activities and fundraising. The group can consist of a variety of people, although it is common for committee members to be parents/relatives of cadets or staff members, we would however also like to hear from any local business leaders and former Cadets who may be interested in joining the Committee.
If you have good organizational skills and a drive to make a real difference to help the Squadron and our young people reach their full potential and are interested in finding out more about the work of the Squadrons Civilian Committee we would love to hear from you.
If so please do get in touch or simply drop into the Squadron HQ on a Tuesday or Friday evening and have a chat with the CO.
